Terms of Service

§ 1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service govern the use of the online educational platform available at this domain, operated by Prudent Spend Financial Education Inc., based in Calgary, Canada. They define the rights and obligations of Users and the Service Provider.
  2. By creating an account and using the Platform, the User confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Regulations in their entirety. Acceptance of the Regulations is a condition for using the Services provided by the Platform.
  3. The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Regulations at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
  4. The services provided are for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice. The Service Provider is not responsible for any financial decisions made by the User based on the information provided on the Platform.

§ 2. Definitions

  • Platform – The online educational service operated by the Service Provider, offering courses and materials on personal finance.
  • User – Any natural person with full legal capacity who creates an Account and uses the Services provided by the Platform.
  • Account – A personal, password-protected profile created by the User, granting access to the Services on the Platform.
  • Services – All educational content, including but not limited to video courses, articles, and downloadable materials, made available to the User via the Platform.
  • Regulations – This document, the Terms of Service, which constitutes the agreement between the User and the Service Provider.

§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided

  1. The Service Provider offers paid access to a collection of online courses focused on personal financial literacy, including topics such as budgeting, expense tracking, and savings strategies. Access is granted upon a one-time payment for lifetime access, unless otherwise specified.
  2. The scope of the Services includes access to all current and future course materials for as long as the Platform is operational. The Service Provider reserves the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service with notice.
  3. The User is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the course content for personal, non-commercial use only. Sharing account details or redistributing course materials is strictly prohibited.
  4. The Platform may also provide supplementary materials such as templates, worksheets, and access to a community forum, the terms of use for which are covered by these Regulations.

§ 4. Technical Requirements

  1. To use the Platform, the User must have a device with access to the internet and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled. The quality of streaming content may depend on the User's connection speed.
  2. The User is solely responsible for ensuring their hardware and software meet the necessary requirements to access and use the Platform.
  3. The Service Provider is not liable for any interruptions or issues with the service caused by the User's technical setup.

§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User

  1. The User is obligated to provide true and accurate information during the registration process and to keep their account details, especially their password, confidential. The User is responsible for all activities that occur under their Account.
  2. The User agrees not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service. This includes uploading malicious software or infringing on the intellectual property rights of the Service Provider.
  3. The content provided on the Platform is the intellectual property of the Service Provider. The User agrees not to copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the content without explicit written permission from the Service Provider.
  4. The User has the right to access their data and request its deletion in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The User also has the right to terminate their account at any time, though payments are non-refundable after the 30-day guarantee period.
  5. The User agrees to behave respectfully within any community forums associated with the Platform. Harassment, hate speech, or spamming will result in immediate termination of the User's account without a refund.

§ 6. Final Provisions

  1. These Regulations are governed by the laws of the province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
  2. If any provision of these Regulations is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
